That's why I use . It's not free but a one time payment was worth it. TBH, I don't spend all day on Twitter trying to get followers but I do periodically go in and clean up my follower list. My followers have been consistent because I don't try. No time.

I got myself a while ago, which allows you to go back through your entire history and search, sort, and selectively or mass delete. It's a one-off payment of ~$20 but great tool. And, yes, liberating.

Final count was around 24,000 tweets deleted. I removed everything older than around 14 months except for blog posts and a couple of random tweets.

Took 30 minutes from start to finish and pretty easy. 👍

Next step is to setup something to do this regularly

I like this one bc it gives you more control (like if you want to save certain viral tweets, personal announcement tweets, etc) - it also has a higher capacity. The other sites basically just wipe everything out in a certain date range and have an API limit of like 3200 tweets

Thats why I use lol. I get rid of Tweets with low engagement and skim over whats left lol. Even ppl with good intentions have to be careful lol

It was like "try and only pick 20,000 tweets at a time" and I went, ok. And picked like eight months of tweets, and then like, sorted them by likes

and picked out the individual popular ones that still made me laugh and kept that like, 5 tweets out of the 20,000 lol

Okay hold your figurative wig for this.

You have to request your archive from twitter. Then download but it only works on a PC computer, no Mac. Then... upload the archive file that Twitter sends to you to the program. It's hella easy and the best way.

Download your archive (hope they finally got that to you) then use . On my old account I easily should have had 1mil tweets but it let me delete like 200,000 at a time. It was great.

And you can actually look up your tweets via search words you maybe don't want etc. It's the best one because there's no limit to HOW MANY tweets you can delete when you have soooo many
